A Safe Place for Children and Teens to Be Seen, Heard, and Understood
Welcome
When children struggle, they don’t always have the words to explain what’s going on inside. Big feelings, changes at home or school, anxiety and grief often show up through procrastination, changes in grades, impacted friendships, power struggles, isolation and low self-esteem. Other signs could be play, movement, imagination or behavior instead of conversation. Caregivers can feel at a loss.
That’s where therapy designed specifically for children can help.
Therapy That Speaks Your Child’s Language
I specialize in play therapy and drama therapy, evidence-based approaches that help children express themselves in ways that feel natural and safe.
Developmentally, children learn and express themselves by doing. With that in mind, I use:
Play, art, and storytelling
Role-play and imaginative expression
Movement, creativity, and guided activities
Through these experiences, children can explore emotions, build coping skills, and develop healthier ways to relate to themselves and others—at their own pace.
What Parents Can Expect
Parents are an important part of the therapeutic process. While sessions focus on your child, I work collaboratively with caregivers to ensure support extends beyond the therapy room.
You can expect:
A warm, welcoming environment
Developmentally appropriate, research-informed care
Ongoing communication and guidance for parents
Respect for your child’s individuality and strengths
My goal is not to “fix” your child, but to help them grow, heal, and thrive.
Is This the Right Fit for Your Child?
Play and drama therapy can be helpful for children experiencing:
Anxiety or emotional overwhelm
Behavioral or school challenges
Social difficulties
Life transitions, loss, or family changes
Low self-esteem or difficulty expressing emotions
Neuodivergent kids (with ADHD, ASD or other learning differences)
